The new Q Series introduced in 1993 featured four loudspeakers with an attractive slim profile afforded by the use of 165mm (6.5in.) drivers. Updated Uni-Q technology provided a significant improvement in sound quality and all models were magnetically shielded for use in close proximity to CRT televisions in home theatre systems. The floor standing models came as standard with a moulded plinth suitable for use with spikes and all models came with attractive moulded grilles.

 

Q10 was a bookshelf/stand mount design of elegant simplicity suitable for the latest stereo and home theatre setups in small to medium sized rooms. It was a two-way design that demonstrated the fine sound quality and imaging capabilities of Uni-Q technology.

 

A similar two-way design to the Q10 but in an attractive floor-standing package, Q30 offered exceptional value for money.

 

The addition of a dedicated bass driver and increased internal volume in the popular 2½ way format allowed the Q50 to offer excellent overall performance the price. It was perfectly suited to stereo and multi-channel use in medium sized rooms.

 

Q70 was a full three-way design with twin 165mm (6.5in) bass drivers for enhanced bass extension and dynamic capability. It featured twin gold plated input terminals to allow bi-wiring or bi-amplification.
