The Portable Celeste was an industrial/professional version of the popular Celeste model, housed in a rugged enclosure fitted with a collapsible carrying handle and anodised metal grille - finished in durable hammer grey lacquer. It was suitable for high quality sound reproduction in schools and institutions and for use as a portable monitor speaker. Many Portable Celestes were used by Radio Television Francais for outside broadcast.
